The Powerball jackpot prize pool has increased to €132 million after no winning ticket matched all numbers from Sunday’s draw.
The winning numbers for the last draw are 32-37-56-66-69 Powerball 11
There were plenty of winners in the last draw, most notably one ticket matched five white Powerball numbers to win $1,000,000 (€960,000).
William Arrington is an occasional Powerball player, he usually prefers playing when the jackpot is particularly high, but it didn’t necessarily take winning the jackpot to make Mr. Arrington a millionaire.
“I didn’t even think about it,” said Arrington. “The guy in front of me bought one, so I decided to buy one, too.”
Arrington opted for Quick Pick to choose his winning numbers, bought his Powerball ticket and didn’t think much of it after that. It wasn’t until a couple of days later that he decided to scan his ticket and the message “See Lottery Official” popped up.
“I got a copy of my numbers from the cashier and ran away,” chuckled Arrington. “I did a little more investigating and figured out it was a $1 million ticket.”
Will’s ticket matched all 5 white-ball numbers. He called his wife to let her know he had won $1 million (€960,000), but she was convinced he was just playing a prank on her.
“She said, ‘Oh, my gosh, oh, my gosh, oh, my gosh.’ At first, she thought I was lying to her. Sometimes I like to tell a story or two, but it’s had time to set in,” said Arrington. “Now we have a whole new set of good problems to have, just figuring out what we are going to do with it and do the right thing.”
The family is still processing the news of their newly found fortune and don’t have any immediate plans for what to do with their prize. Arrington said he wants to help some of his family members with their bills.

An Instagram post made by a woman who claims to be a Powerball jackpot winner quickly went viral, when the Instagram account holder offered to give away some of her fortune.
‘I WON $70 million on the PowerBall and would like to give some back,’ Instagrammer Susan Cropper wrote on her post.
‘$1000 to first 100,000 people to follow and shout out this account,’ she continued, vowing to transfer the money through PayPal
After the post was made, her Instagram account quickly amassed over 55,300 followers in just 2 days.
‘Just about one year ago today I walked in and collected my $70 million cheque. To mark this day, we want to give back a little something to the hard workers of our lovely world.’ However, her Instagram followers quickly began to question her motives.
‘Um [you] said you’ll give $1000 to the top 100,000 people, which means [you] are giving away $100 million dollars when [you] only won $70 million dollars… make sense?’ commented one Sharon Kanabaddi.
Besides the fact that her Instagram account only has 2 photos, Susan offered her followers link to an article about two anonymous January 2016 Powerball winners as proof of her story.
Eagle eyed Instagrammer, Nick Korten, tracked her down ‘Susan Cropper’ and identified her picture as that of a marketing guru ‘Beth Power’.
Nick encouraged his followers to tag their friends to help expose the scammer who claims to be the Powerball winner.
News outlets caught on the story and confirmed that ‘Susan Cropper’ was a running a scam on Instagram after lottery officials confirmed that there was no Powerball winner by that name.
The scam Instagram account was deleted at 5.45pm on Tuesday night, but not before thousands of people shared, reposted and tagged the account.

Powerball jackpot fever is on the rise again. With the glorious US Powerball jackpot for Wednesday night soaring to €363 million, eager participants are lining up to buy the winning ticket. That’s an insane amount of money that will no doubtfully make the winner silly rich.
But buying that one lucky ticket requires luck. The chances of winning always remains the same as the jackpot rolls over. However, there are a few ways you can boost the chances of winning the Powerball jackpot tonight.
Go beyond the birthdays and anniversaries.
Choosing the right spread is important—if you constantly pick birth dates and month, as most players do, you’re only limiting yourself to less than half the selection, 1 through 31. It is very important to include bigger numbers: If you always pick your numbers and only play anniversaries and birthdays, you’ll probably be splitting the prize pot with 50-60 people. If you spread your chosen numbers out across the whole pool of numbers, you are more likely to be the only winner.
Always Double-Check Your Numbers!
imagine you finally get that huge win you’ve always dreamed about – but you miss out on your prize because you failed to double check your winning numbers. This slip up happens more often than you might think. A recent example would be the case of a MegaMillions lottery ticket worth $300,000 (€280,000) that went unclaimed past the deadline date. For the winner, the prize is now gone forever. Do not let that happen to you.
When you purchase a lottery ticket, always keep it in a familiar place where you can find it again easily. If you’re the forgetful type of person, write the drawing date and time in your calendar or set a reminder on your smart phone. Always double check the numbers against your ticket just to be sure.
With EuroLotto, you needn’t have to worry about such issues. We always inform our customers whether they’ve won or need to try their luck again.
Multiply Your Chances of Winning in a Draw with Second-Chance Games
