The Powerball jackpot prize pool has increased to €132 million after no winning ticket matched all numbers from Sunday’s draw.
The winning numbers for the last draw are 32-37-56-66-69 Powerball 11
There were plenty of winners in the last draw, most notably one ticket matched five white Powerball numbers to win $1,000,000 (€960,000).
William Arrington is an occasional Powerball player, he usually prefers playing when the jackpot is particularly high, but it didn’t necessarily take winning the jackpot to make Mr. Arrington a millionaire.
“I didn’t even think about it,” said Arrington. “The guy in front of me bought one, so I decided to buy one, too.”
Arrington opted for Quick Pick to choose his winning numbers, bought his Powerball ticket and didn’t think much of it after that. It wasn’t until a couple of days later that he decided to scan his ticket and the message “See Lottery Official” popped up.
“I got a copy of my numbers from the cashier and ran away,” chuckled Arrington. “I did a little more investigating and figured out it was a $1 million ticket.”
Will’s ticket matched all 5 white-ball numbers. He called his wife to let her know he had won $1 million (€960,000), but she was convinced he was just playing a prank on her.
“She said, ‘Oh, my gosh, oh, my gosh, oh, my gosh.’ At first, she thought I was lying to her. Sometimes I like to tell a story or two, but it’s had time to set in,” said Arrington. “Now we have a whole new set of good problems to have, just figuring out what we are going to do with it and do the right thing.”
The family is still processing the news of their newly found fortune and don’t have any immediate plans for what to do with their prize. Arrington said he wants to help some of his family members with their bills.

An Instagram post made by a woman who claims to be a Powerball jackpot winner quickly went viral, when the Instagram account holder offered to give away some of her fortune.
‘I WON $70 million on the PowerBall and would like to give some back,’ Instagrammer Susan Cropper wrote on her post.
‘$1000 to first 100,000 people to follow and shout out this account,’ she continued, vowing to transfer the money through PayPal
After the post was made, her Instagram account quickly amassed over 55,300 followers in just 2 days.
‘Just about one year ago today I walked in and collected my $70 million cheque. To mark this day, we want to give back a little something to the hard workers of our lovely world.’ However, her Instagram followers quickly began to question her motives.
‘Um [you] said you’ll give $1000 to the top 100,000 people, which means [you] are giving away $100 million dollars when [you] only won $70 million dollars… make sense?’ commented one Sharon Kanabaddi.
Besides the fact that her Instagram account only has 2 photos, Susan offered her followers link to an article about two anonymous January 2016 Powerball winners as proof of her story.
Eagle eyed Instagrammer, Nick Korten, tracked her down ‘Susan Cropper’ and identified her picture as that of a marketing guru ‘Beth Power’.
Nick encouraged his followers to tag their friends to help expose the scammer who claims to be the Powerball winner.
News outlets caught on the story and confirmed that ‘Susan Cropper’ was a running a scam on Instagram after lottery officials confirmed that there was no Powerball winner by that name.
The scam Instagram account was deleted at 5.45pm on Tuesday night, but not before thousands of people shared, reposted and tagged the account.

On Friday 6th of October, a ticket holder from Spain has equaled the record for the biggest EuroMillions jackpot ever claimed. Where was the ticket purchased from and has the winner come forward yet? Here’s everything we know so far:
Record EuroMillions jackpot The EuroMillions top prize had reached its €190,000,000 cap in the previous draw on Tuesday but no player managed to win the jackpot, thus creating an avalanche of interest and excitement across the continent. The winning numbers for the Superdraw were 1, 9, 15, 19 and 25, with Lucky Stars 1 and 7, and not long after, the news came through that one lucky player from Spain had won the jackpot.
There was also a bigger reward for matching 5 main numbers + 1 Lucky Star, as more funds were pumped into the tiers, which would have usually gone to the top prize pool, but had to be trickled down after the jackpot had reached its cap. 16 participants in the 2nd tier €1.2 million each.
EuroMillions Success for Spain After last Friday’s Superdraw jackpot win, Spain has now had 83 EuroMillions jackpot winners, the previous jackpots included €137.3 million won by a ticket holder on Friday 13th June 2014 which makes the latest landfall the biggest win in EuroMillions.
There have only been 2 other occasions when a top prize of €190,000,000 had been rewarded. Gillian and Adrian Bayford from the United Kingdom bagged a jackpot prize worth €166.6 million on 10th August 2012, before a player from Portugal participant replicated the achievement on 24th October 2014.
Where Was the Ticket Purchased? Friday night’s big winning ticket was bought in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria. The identity of the winner remains unknown, the ticket was validated at the El Mirador’s shopping centre. Store owner Esther Gloria Almeida Sanchez said: “I did not expect to sell this big prize because it was a lot of money, but last night they called me from the Delegation of the Canary Islands to tell me that we had given 190 million euros.”
All EuroMillions winners must claim their prizes in the country where they purchased their ticket, even if they’re only just in the country for vacation. Prizes in Spain only remain valid for 3 months and are then reprimanded by the state’s treasury if left unclaimed.
Next EuroMillions Jackpot
The top prize on Tuesday night’s will reset to €17,000,000. If you also have dreams of becoming a multi-millionaire, you can pick you lucky numbers and play here
The EuroMillions Superdraw top prize has hit its maximum cap and will stay at 190,000,000 for tonight’s draw, after no player guessed the full winning numbers on Tuesday night’s game. This brings yet another huge opportunity for EuroMillions players to win the phenomenal, record making jackpot. And if that wasn’t enough reason for you to play, here’s why you shouldn’t miss out on tonight’s draw.
The Superdraw jackpot will not get any bigger than its current €190 million jackpot as the prize pool reached its cap. This has only happened on two previous occasions when Adrian and Gillian Bayford bagged the EuroMillions Superdraw jackpot worth €170 million on Friday 10th August 2012, before a ticket holder from Portugal landed on his winning ticket on Friday 24th October 2014.
Bigger Prize Pools in All Tiers
Since the top prize has reached its €190,000,000 cap, the funds that would usually be added to the jackpot prize pool, will now trickle down to winners across the next tiers, which is most likely to be players that match 5 main numbers and 1 lucky star number. On Tuesday 3rd October, the second winning tier paid €1.2 million.
Any surplus funds will go directly down to the other winning tiers, this signifies a growth in all tiers. The value of each tier will keep growing with every draw. One thing is for certain, ticket sales across Europe are soaring and the prize pools will be bigger and bigger with every draw.
The Jackpot is Itching to be Won
As the top prize has now hit its €190,000,000 maximum, it is only a matter of time until someone knocks it off its perch, and at €190,000,000, it could be rattled by a lucky winner in tonight’s draw.
Anyone Can Be a Jackpot Winner
Anyone can be a jackpot winner and it doesn’t really matter if you’ve played a hundred times or you’re playing for the first time, anyone can score huge wins in the EuroMillions Superdraw. Scottish woman, Jane Park won €1.3 million in 2013 when she purchased her ticket for the very first time.
Just imagining waking up to the news that the jackpot has been won, and it was your lucky numbers that were drawn. Don’t let yourself live in regret, get your winning ticket now!
The EuroMillions Superdraw top prize will be up for grabs tonight after no jackpot winning ticket guessed the winning numbers on Friday 29th September. Punters from across the continent eagerly anticipated the €178.9 million prize on Friday’s draw. But not all was lost as more than 4.2 million players received rewards, while the top prize remains unscathed and will now hit its cap sum of €190 million.
The numbers drawn on Friday, September 29th were 7, 18, 19, 32 and 48, with the two Lucky Stars’ numbers 3 and 7 drawn. While no ticket claimed the jackpot, seven players matched 5 main numbers plus 1 Lucky Star number to bag €320,207 each. A further twenty ticket holders, including 5 from the United Kingdom matched 5 main numbers to win €26,103 each.
EuroMillions Superdraw winners ranged between €4.50 for matching two main numbers and €2,059 for successfully guessing four main numbers plus two Lucky Stars.
EuroMillions players are looking forward to tonight’s draw, when they will be in for the chance of a lifetime to get their hands on the jaw-dropping €190 million jackpot. This is only the 3rd time in EuroMillions’ history that the top prize has achieved its cap. The last time this happened was in October 2014, when a Portuguese ticket holder got their hands on the insane jackpot amount.
If a player from the UK wins tonight’s Superdraw, they will immediately find themselves as the country’s biggest ever lottery winner, as the €190 million jackpot on offer will be even bigger than the €184 million claimed by Colin and Chris Weir in July 2011.
